1 Consolai, consolai o meu povo, diz o vosso Deus.

2 Falai ao coração de Jerusalém, bradai-lhe que já é findo o tempo da sua milícia, que a sua iniqüidade está perdoada e que já recebeu em dobro das mãos do SENHOR por todos os seus pecados.

3 Voz do que clama no deserto: Preparai o caminho do SENHOR; endireitai no ermo vereda a nosso Deus.

4 Todo vale será aterrado, e nivelados, todos os montes e outeiros; o que é tortuoso será retificado, e os lugares escabrosos, aplanados.

5 A glória do SENHOR se manifestará, e toda a carne a verá, pois a boca do SENHOR o disse.

6 Uma voz diz: Clama; e alguém pergunta: Que hei de clamar? Toda a carne é erva, e toda a sua glória, como a flor da erva;

7 seca-se a erva, e caem as flores, soprando nelas o hálito do SENHOR. Na verdade, o povo é erva;

8 seca-se a erva, e cai a sua flor, mas a palavra de nosso Deus permanece eternamente.

9 Tu, ó Sião, que anuncias boas-novas, sobe a um monte alto! Tu, que anuncias boas-novas a Jerusalém, ergue a tua voz fortemente; levanta-a, não temas e dize às cidades de Judá: Eis aí está o vosso Deus!

10 Eis que o SENHOR Deus virá com poder, e o seu braço dominará; eis que o seu galardão está com ele, e diante dele, a sua recompensa.

11 Como pastor, apascentará o seu rebanho; entre os seus braços recolherá os cordeirinhos e os levará no seio; as que amamentam ele guiará mansamente.

12 Quem na concha de sua mão mediu as águas e tomou a medida dos céus a palmos? Quem recolheu na terça parte de um efa o pó da terra e pesou os montes em romana e os outeiros em balança de precisão?

13 Quem guiou o Espírito do SENHOR? Ou, como seu conselheiro, o ensinou?

14 Com quem tomou ele conselho, para que lhe desse compreensão? Quem o instruiu na vereda do juízo, e lhe ensinou sabedoria, e lhe mostrou o caminho de entendimento?

15 Eis que as nações são consideradas por ele como um pingo que cai de um balde e como um grão de pó na balança; as ilhas são como pó fino que se levanta.

16 Nem todo o Líbano basta para queimar, nem os seus animais, para um holocausto.

17 Todas as nações são perante ele como coisa que não é nada; ele as considera menos do que nada, como um vácuo.

18 Com quem comparareis a Deus? Ou que coisa semelhante confrontareis com ele?

19 O artífice funde a imagem, e o ourives a cobre de ouro e cadeias de prata forja para ela.

20 O sacerdote idólatra escolhe madeira que não se corrompe e busca um artífice perito para assentar uma imagem esculpida que não oscile.

21 Acaso, não sabeis? Porventura, não ouvis? Não vos tem sido anunciado desde o princípio? Ou não atentastes para os fundamentos da terra?

22 Ele é o que está assentado sobre a redondeza da terra, cujos moradores são como gafanhotos; é ele quem estende os céus como cortina e os desenrola como tenda para neles habitar;

23 é ele quem reduz a nada os príncipes e torna em nulidade os juízes da terra.

24 Mal foram plantados e semeados, mal se arraigou na terra o seu tronco, já se secam, quando um sopro passa por eles, e uma tempestade os leva como palha.

25 A quem, pois, me comparareis para que eu lhe seja igual? - diz o Santo.

26 Levantai ao alto os olhos e vede. Quem criou estas coisas? Aquele que faz sair o seu exército de estrelas, todas bem contadas, as quais ele chama pelo nome; por ser ele grande em força e forte em poder, nem uma só vem a faltar.

27 Por que, pois, dizes, ó Jacó, e falas, ó Israel: O meu caminho está encoberto ao SENHOR, e o meu direito passa despercebido ao meu Deus?

28 Não sabes, não ouviste que o eterno Deus, o SENHOR, o Criador dos fins da terra, nem se cansa, nem se fatiga? Não se pode esquadrinhar o seu entendimento.

29 Faz forte ao cansado e multiplica as forças ao que não tem nenhum vigor.

30 Os jovens se cansam e se fatigam, e os moços de exaustos caem,

31 mas os que esperam no SENHOR renovam as suas forças, sobem com asas como águias, correm e não se cansam, caminham e não se fatigam.

1 Consolez, consolez mon peuple, dit votre Dieu.

2 Parlez au coeur de Jérusalem, et criez-lui que son temps de détresse est accompli, que son iniquité est acquittée; car elle a reçu de la main de l'Éternel le double pour tous ses péchés.

3 La voix de celui qui crie dans le désert: Préparez le chemin de l'Éternel, aplanissez dans le lieu stérile une route pour notre Dieu.

4 Toute vallée sera relevée, et toute montagne et toute colline seront abaissées; et ce qui est tortu sera rendu droit, et les lieux raboteux deviendront une plaine unie.

5 Et la gloire de l'Éternel sera révélée, et toute chair ensemble la verra; car la bouche de l'Éternel a parlé.

6 Une voix dit: Crie. Et il dit: Que crierai-je? -Toute chair est de l'herbe, et toute sa beauté comme la fleur des champs.

7 L'herbe est desséchée, la fleur est fanée; car le souffle de l'Éternel a soufflé dessus. Certes, le peuple est de l'herbe.

8 L'herbe est desséchée, la fleur est fanée, mais la parole de notre Dieu demeure à toujours.

9 Sion, messagère de bonnes nouvelles, monte sur une haute montagne; élève ta voix avec force, Jérusalem, messagère de bonnes nouvelles: Elève-là, ne crains point; dis aux villes de Juda: Voici votre Dieu!

10 Voici, le Seigneur l'Éternel viendra avec puissance, et son bras dominera pour lui. Voici, son salaire est avec lui, et sa récompense devant lui.

11 Comme un berger il paîtra son troupeau; par son bras il rassemblera les agneaux et les portera dans son sein; il conduira doucement celles qui allaitent.

12 a mesuré les eaux dans le creux de sa main, et réglé les cieux avec l'empan, et mesuré dans un boisseau la poussière de la terre? Qui a pesé les montagnes au crochet, ou les collines dans la balance?

13 Qui a dirigé l'Esprit de l'Éternel, et l'a instruit comme l'homme de son conseil?

14 Avec qui a-t-il tenu conseil, et qui lui a donné l'intelligence, et l'a instruit dans le sentier du juste jugement, et lui a enseigné la connaissance, et lui a fait connaître le chemin de l'intelligence?

15 Voici, les nations sont réputées comme une goutte d'un seau, et comme la poussière d'une balance; voici, il enlève les îles comme un atome.

16 Et le Liban ne suffit pas pour le feu, et ses bêtes ne suffisent pas pour l'holocauste.

17 Toutes les nations sont comme un rien devant lui; elles sont réputées par lui comme moins que le néant et le vide.

18 A qui donc comparerez-vous *Dieu, et à quelle ressemblance l'égalerez-vous?

19 L'ouvrier fond une image, et l'orfèvre étend l'or dessus et lui fond des chaînes d'argent.

20 Celui qui est trop pauvre pour faire une offrande choisit un bois qui ne pourrisse pas; il se cherche un habile ouvrier pour établir une image taillée qui ne branle pas.

21 -Ne savez-vous pas? Ne l'avez-vous pas entendu? Cela ne vous a-t-il pas été déclaré dès le commencement? N'avez-vous pas compris la fondation de la terre?...

22 Lui, qui est assis au-dessus du cercle de la terre, et ses habitants sont comme des sauterelles, -qui étend les cieux comme une toile légère, et qui les déploie comme une tente pour y habiter;

23 qui réduit ses chefs à néant, qui fait que les juges de la terre sont comme rien:

24 ils ne seront pas même plantés, ils ne seront pas même semés, leur tige ne sera même pas enracinée dans la terre, qu'il soufflera sur eux, et ils seront desséchés, et le tourbillon les enlèvera comme du chaume.

25 A qui donc me comparerez-vous et serai-je égalé? dit le Saint.

26 Levez vos yeux en haut, et voyez! Qui a créé ces choses, faisant sortir par nombre leur armée? Il les appelle toutes par nom. Par la grandeur de son pouvoir et de sa force puissante, pas une ne manque.

27 Pourquoi dis-tu, ô Jacob, et parles-tu, ô Israël: Ma voie est cachée à l'Éternel, et ma cause a passé inaperçue de mon Dieu?

28 Ne sais-tu pas, n'as-tu pas entendu, que le Dieu d'éternité, l'Éternel, créateur des bouts de la terre, ne se lasse pas et ne se fatigue pas? On ne sonde pas son intelligence.

29 Il donne de la force à celui qui est las, et il augmente l'énergie à celui qui n'a pas de vigueur.

30 Les jeunes gens seront las et se fatigueront, et les jeunes hommes deviendront chancelants;

31 mais ceux qui s'attendent à l'Éternel renouvelleront leur force; ils s'élèveront avec des ailes, comme des aigles; ils courront et ne se fatigueront pas, ils marcheront et ne se lasseront pas.

18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

1 CONSOLAOS, consolaos, pueblo mío, dice vuestro Dios.
2 Hablad al corazón de Jerusalem: decidle á voces que su tiempo es ya cumplido, que su pecado es perdonado; que doble ha recibido de la mano de Jehová por todos sus pecados.
3 Voz que clama en el desierto: Barred camino á Jehová: enderezad calzada en la soledad á nuestro Dios.
4 Todo valle sea alzado, y bájese todo monte y collado; y lo torcido se enderece, y lo áspero se allane.
5 Y manifestaráse la gloria de Jehová, y toda carne juntamente la verá; que la boca de Jehová habló.
6 Voz que decía: Da voces. Y yo respondí: ¿Qué tengo de decir á voces? Toda carne es hierba, y toda su gloria como flor del campo:

18 ¿A qué pues haréis semejante á Dios, ó qué imagen le compondréis?
19 El artífice apareja la imagen de talla, el platero le extiende el oro, y le funde cadenas de plata.
20 El pobre escoge, para ofrecerle, madera que no se corrompa; búscase un maestro sabio, que le haga una imagen de talla que no se mueva.
21 ¿No sabéis? ¿no habéis oído? ¿nunca os lo han dicho desde el principio? ¿no habéis sido enseñados desde que la tierra se fundó?
22 El está asentado sobre el globo de la tierra, cuyos moradores son como langostas: él extiende los cielos como una cortina, tiéndelos como una tienda para morar:
23 El torna en nada los poderosos, y á los que gobiernan la tierra hace como cosa vana.
24 Como si nunca fueran plantados, como si nunca fueran sembrados, como si nunca su tronco hubiera tenido raíz en la tierra; así que sopla en ellos se secan, y el torbellino los lleva como hojarascas.
25 ¿A qué pues me haréis semejante, ó seré asimilado? dice el Santo.
26 Levantad en alto vuestros ojos, y mirad quién crió estas cosas: él saca por cuenta su ejército: á todas llama por sus nombres; ninguna faltará: tal es la grandeza de su fuerza, y su poder y virtud.
27 ¿Por qué dices, oh Jacob, y hablas tú, Israel: Mi camino es escondido de Jehová, y de mi Dios pasó mi juicio?
28 ¿No has sabido, no has oído que el Dios del siglo es Jehová, el cual crió los términos de la tierra? No se trabaja, ni se fatiga con cansancio, y su entendimiento no hay quien lo alcance.
29 El da esfuerzo al cansado, y multiplica las fuerzas al que no tiene ningunas.
30 Los mancebos se fatigan y se cansan, los mozos flaquean y caen:
31 Mas los que esperan á Jehová tendrán nuevas fuerzas; levantarán las alas como águilas, correrán, y no se cansarán, caminarán, y no se fatigarán.

12 Wer mißt die Wasser mit der hohlen Hand und faßt den Himmel mit der Spanne und begreift den Staub der Erde mit einem Dreiling und wägt die Berge mit einem Gewicht und die Hügel mit einer Waage?
13 Wer unterrichtet den Geist des HERRN, und welcher Ratgeber unterweist ihn?
14 Wen fragt er um Rat, der ihm Verstand gebe und lehre ihn den Weg des Rechts und lehre ihn die Erkenntnis und unterweise ihn den Weg des Verstandes?
15 Siehe, die Heiden sind geachtet wie ein Tropfen, so im Eimer bleibt, und wie ein Scherflein, so in der Waage bleibt. Siehe, die Inseln sind wie ein Stäublein.
16 Der Libanon wäre zu gering zum Feuer und seine Tiere zu gering zum Brandopfer.
17 Alle Heiden sind vor ihm nichts und wie ein Nichtiges und Eitles geachtet.
18 Wem wollt ihr denn Gott nachbilden? Oder was für ein Gleichnis wollt ihr ihm zurichten?
19 Der Meister gießt wohl ein Bild, und der Goldschmied übergoldet's und macht silberne Ketten daran.
20 Desgleichen wer nur eine arme Gabe vermag, der wählt ein Holz, das nicht fault, und sucht einen klugen Meister dazu, der ein Bild fertige, das beständig sei.

2 Parlate al cuor di Gerusalemme, e predicatele che il suo termine è compiuto, che la sua iniquità è quietata; perchè ella ha ricevuto dalla mano del Signore il castigo di tutti i suoi peccati al doppio.
3 Vi è una voce d´uno che grida: Acconciate nel deserto la via del Signore, addirizzate per la solitudine la strada all´Iddio nostro.
4 Ogni valle sia alzata, ed ogni monte e colle sia abbassato; e sieno i luoghi distorti ridirizzati, e i luoghi erti ridotti in pianura.

22 Egli è quel che siede sopra il globo della terra, ed a cui gli abitanti di essa sono come locuste; che stende i cieli come una tela, e li tende come una tenda da abitare;
23 che riduce i principi a niente, e fa che i rettori della terra son come una cosa vana;
24 come se non fossero pure stati piantati, nè pur seminati, o che il lor ceppo non fosse pure stato radicato in terra; sol che soffi contro a loro, si seccano, e il turbo li porta via come stoppia.
25 A cui dunque mi assomigliereste? o a cui sarei io agguagliato? dice il Santo.
26 Levate ad alto gli occhi vostri, e vedete; chi ha create quelle cose? chi fa uscire l´esercito loro a conto? chi le chiama tutte per nome, per la grandezza della sua forza, e, perciocchè egli è potente in virtù, senza che ne manchi pure una?

4 Wee die sondige nasie, die volk swaar van skuld, die geslag van kwaaddoeners, die kinders wat verderflik handel! Hulle het die HERE verlaat, die Heilige van Israel verag, hulle het agtertoe weggedraai.
5 Waar wil julle nog geslaan word, dat julle voortgaan met af te wyk? Die hele hoof is siek, en die hele hart is krank.
6 Van die voetsool af tot die hoof toe is daar geen heel plek aan nie, maar wonde en kwesplekke en vars houe! Hulle is nie uitgedruk of verbind of met olie versag nie.
7 Julle land is 'n wildernis, julle stede is met vuur verbrand, vreemdes verteer julle landerye in jul teenwoordigheid, en dit is 'n wildernis soos by 'n omkering deur vreemdes.
8 En die dogter van Sion het oorgebly soos 'n skermpie in 'n wingerd, soos 'n slaapplekkie in 'n komkommertuin, soos 'n beleërde stad.
9 As die HERE van die leërskare vir ons nie 'n klein oorblyfsel oorgelaat het nie -- soos Sodom sou ons geword het, ons sou net soos Gomorra gewees het.
10 Hoor die woord van die HERE, owerstes van Sodom! Luister na die wet van onse God, volk van Gomorra!

14 Julle nuwemane en julle feestye haat my siel; hulle is My 'n oorlas. Ek is moeg om dit te dra.

20 Maar as julle weier en wederstrewig is, sal julle deur die swaard geëet word; want die mond van die HERE het dit gespreek.
21 Ag, hoe het die getroue vesting 'n hoer geword! Dit was vol reg, geregtigheid het daarin vernag -- en nou moordenaars!
22 Jou silwer het skuim geword; jou wyn is vervals met water.
23 Jou vorste is opstandelinge en metgeselle van diewe; elkeen van hulle het omkoopgeskenke lief en jaag beloninge na. Aan die wees doen hulle geen reg nie, en die saak van die weduwee kom nie voor hulle nie.
24 Daarom spreek die Here HERE van die leërskare, die Magtige van Israel: o Wee, Ek sal vir My voldoening verskaf van my teëstanders en My wreek op my vyande!
25 En Ek sal my hand teen jou uitstrek en jou skuim soos met loog uitsuiwer en al jou looddele wegneem.
26 En Ek sal jou weer regters gee soos vroeër en raadsmanne soos in die begin; daarna sal jy 'n stad van geregtigheid, 'n getroue vesting genoem word.
27 Sion sal deur strafgerig verlos word en die van hom wat terugkeer, deur geregtigheid.
28 Maar daar sal verbreking wees van die oortreders en die sondaars almal saam; en die wat die HERE verlaat, sal omkom.
29 Want hulle sal in die skande kom weens die terpentynbome waar julle behae in het, en julle sal rooi van skaamte word oor die tuine wat julle verkies het.
30 Want julle sal wees soos 'n terpentynboom waarvan die blare verdor, en soos 'n tuin wat geen water het nie.
31 En die sterke word tot vlas en sy werk tot 'n vonk, en hulle sal altwee tesame brand sonder dat iemand uitblus.
